AlmaLinux Day: Vancouver brings together artists, developers, and sysadmins working at the intersection of visual effects and open-source systems — with a special spotlight on AlmaLinux as a stable, community-driven platform powering modern production workflows. In the heart of Vancouver’s cinematic and rich landscape, and hosted in the perfect spot, this conference is a space to connect, share, and build the future of digital creativity.
A day of sharing and learning, celebrating open source
Hosted at the beautiful Emily Carr University of Art + Design, this full-day event will highlight content from all over the industry. Join us just before SIGGRAPH to kick of your time in Vancouver the right way.
What to Expect:
- Engaging technical talks and demos
- Community and enterprise use cases
- Deep dives into Linux, containers, automation, and more
- Swag, stickers, and maybe even some surprise giveaways!

8:15 - Lunch Registration and Checkin
9:00 am - 12:00 Open remarks and keynotes
12:00-1:00pm Onsite lunch (provided)
1:00-3:00pm Talks and workshops
3:00-3:30pm Snack and stretch-your-legs break
3:30-5:00pm Talks and workshops
5:00-5:45pm Closing keynote and wrapup
5:45-7:00pm Appetizers and refreshments

AlmaLinux Days are for highlighting the awesome things our community is doing. Whether you want to show off how you are using AlmaLinux in VFX pipelines, demo the tools use, or put together a panel with local VFX studios, we can't wait to hear from you! Submit your idea before 11:59pm Pacific Daylight Time on June 22nd!
If all goes according to plan, confirmations will be sent on June 23rd, and the schedule announced on June 30th!
