Welcome to AlmaLinux Day: Vancouver

The AlmaLinux community values openness, respect, and inclusivity. We are committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone.

We do not tolerate harassment in any form in our community. All communication and behavior, both online and in-person, should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes people of many different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Expected Behavior

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are expected to:

  • Be respectful, courteous, and considerate.
  • Collaborate openly and constructively, with a focus on open source ideals
  • Respect personal boundaries and ask for consent in interactions.
  • Follow all applicable venue rules, as well as instructions from organizers and volunteers.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form
  • Personal attacks of any form, including offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or physical appearance
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Deliberate misgendering or use of “dead names”
  • Diminishing, mocking, or belittling individuals, organizations, or competitors.
  • Publishing others’ private information (such as a physical or electronic address) without explicit permission.
  • Advocating for or encouraging any of the prohibited behaviors.

Reporting Issues

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any concerns, please immediately report the situation to a conference organizer. The appropriate people will be clearly identified and trained to handle such situations respectfully and confidentially.

You can report issues via email during or after the event at: conduct@almalinux.org

All reports will be handled with discretion. We take all reports seriously and are committed to addressing them as promptly as possible.

Consequences

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. Event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including:

  • Warning the offender
  • Expulsion from the event without a refund
  • Banning from future events
